Born in Queens and raised in Hempstead by his Haitian immigrant parents, Jacmel began music production at age 14 after downloading his first copy of FL Studio. Fast forward a few years later, the 17 year old artist has worked to hone his skills by releasing many beats on YouTube and even releasing an orchestral album. After purchasing a used mic from eBay and a broken audio interface, Jacmel decided to pursue his love for singing by working on his own songs in his friends cold garage.
