A couple of weeks ago, I collaborated with my friend Jacob Morris and released a track as part of the Sinecraft project. Influences include Pat Metheny Group, Steps Ahead, and various demo tracks from arranger workstations.

Over the past few months, I've had the great pleasure of being involved with Maj7's fourth installment of Cover Ring. The general idea is that each person who takes part in this project is given the name of a different person. We then needed to go through their discography and create an arrangement of one of their tracks. The name I was given was Starling Oboe, so I decided to arrange her track 'Dayfever Season'. Enjoy!

The guitars and saxophones are all sampled from the Yamaha PSR-S910.

Here's another song that I've covered.

The bell sounds were created using the JuceOPL VST. This VST plugin emulates the OPL2 sound chip that was used in the sound blaster sound cards. Everything else was a combination of Refx's Nexus 2 VST and Korg's MonoPoly VST.

This track took me about 3 weeks to finish, but it finally paid off :)

I was inspired to make this track after watching a documentary about Oscar Peterson (hence the name 'Oscar's Chip'). Specifically this part (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FI-4HNQg1JI) is what caught my attention. You'll notice that the chord progression used here and in my track are quite similar :)
