One might not expect that multi-talented artist Rey&Kjavik is originally from the Rhine-Main-area hence his chosen DJ- and producer-moniker and also because of his eclectic musical approach. But matter of fact Rey&Kjavik is one of the few artists that represents the once so blooming region in the middle of Germany, whilst ‘blooming’ is to be understood in regards to the current development in the electronic music scene and its subcultural life in the Rhine-Main-area.

During the years the Frankfurt producer and DJ became an indispensable part of the international house scene. On the one hand there is a never-ending series of powerful hits such as "Hwmym", "Face It" or "Baba City".
With their gripping basslines, these tracks immerse themselves completely into the fervor of the night. His stirring melodies and his vocals for the most part sung by himself develop a wide-ranging emotionality, ensuring the tracks are not just DJ food, but break into the brain and the heart of the listeners. On the other hand there is the unique stage presence of the Frankfurt producer and DJ, who, with all his decisiveness, always conveys a sense of his
crowd. Rey&Kjavik appeared in most of Europe's leading clubs and festivals, playing in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Turkey, Russia and Singapore. As a preliminary highlight of his
career, he appeared at the festival of festivals, at Burning Man, in 2015 and 2016. 

His debut album RKADASH came out on Katermukke and made quite some impact around the world.
In 2018 he released his second long-player, ‘Mountiri’, on his own label RKJVK, which depicts two topics the artist wants to emphasize: a holistic musical approach combined with cultural diversity.

Over the years he developed a signature sound that perfectly fits into the actual dance music zeitgeist of rave nomads chasing the hottest spots on planet earth to unite, dance and meditate.

Dutch-Caribbean stars Shermanology debut on Hot Creations with the tremendous three-track Bon Bini EP. The release continues an outstanding 2020 for the brother-sister pairing, which has seen them collaborate with The Martinez Brothers already this year.

The title track, Bon Bini, kicks off proceedings in a no-nonsense fashion, as a pumping lead kick merges with latin-inspired vocal cuts. The lengthy breakdown builds a party atmosphere, as rustling hats provide an up-tempo feel. OK - Cool - Aight feat. ConQuer Jones comes next, with its uplifting piano rolls and wonderful vocal solo courtesy of the lead vocalist who tells us to “make the best of what life has to offer.” Breathe feat. Agent Sasco rounds off the EP. A straight-up club cut, the kick-hat blend is irresistibly danceable, building on an underlying bassline that features Agent Sasco’s whispering lyrics underneath.

Hailing from the beautiful Dutch-Carribean island of Curacao, brother-and-sister duo Shermanology have become one of electronic music’s most well-loved and well-known pairings releasing on the likes of Defected and Dirtybird. This year marked a pivotal milestone in their career as they collaborated with The Martinez Brothers on the incredible Bam Bam. Add to this their soon-to-be-released debut on Hot Creations and it is safe to say Shermanology will be making heads turn, and feet move, for years to come.

The 25th of September will see two of house and techno’s most-established talents collaborate on their debut release together, as Hot Creations head Jamie Jones teams up with Mood Records boss Nicole Moudaber on Pepper Shake.

I don’t normally collaborate much but when I do it’s because we are on the same frequency and I grew to love him on a personal level too AND he gets my sharp humour! Short, sweet and with no filler involved, Pepper Shake gets us underway swiftly, and the name certainly does the track justice. Up-tempo hats whistle beside a driving bassline, before a female vocal reels in and out. The styles of both artists are present throughout, with Jamie’s signature groove providing the foundation and Nicole’s deeper techno style coming through in the synths. Bubble Ride completes the release. Dark, gritty and harder-edged than its predecessor, this is a stripped-back peak-time club cut, with a penetrating bassline and hard-hitting kick patterns. The occasional pulse of an atmospheric sample further enhances the body of the track, to form something that’s built solely for the dancefloor.

Agoria's classic ‘For One Hour’ is back for a re-release with new remixes in 2020 ! 
Sébastien Devaud started producing in 1999 and first gained international recognition with a series of 12´s on Pias recordings in 2002, which were followed by the acclaimed album ‘Blossom’ a year later.  One of the pioneers who invented techno in France, Agoria has produced other four long-players, released on some of the most celebrated techno labels like Innervisions, Kompakt and Hotflush and remixed artists such as Moby, New Order & Metronomy. His production techniques have collided with an army of notorious artists including Tricky, Neneh Cherry and Peter Murphy (leader of the legendary Bauhaus).
His desire "to constantly try new adventures", lead him to help to establish the Nuits Sonores festival in Lyon, and to create two of the most avant-garde labels of the French electronic scene: Inﬁné in 2006, a platform for new music that always challenges and excites, then his own label Sapiens in 2016.
The last album ‘Drift’ (2019), in collaboration with Mercury / Universal, conﬁrmed his talent for the sensuality of acoustic melodies and the reﬁnement of modernist productions, without ever completely denying his electronic roots. 

Originally released in 2013 ‘For One Hour’ features the amazing vocals from Scalde, complemented by a soaring violin, dessicated horns and Agoria's typically rhythm pattern. Epic and elegant. The package includes new remixes by Laolu and Fort Romeau.
Geneva based Laolu drops his best remix since his reinterpretation of ‘Too Much Information’, a perfect amalgamation of modern house vibes, deep basslines and elegant synth textures with the intense vocals of Scalde. Classic ! Michael Greene aka Fort Romeau has made a name in the last years with his releases on labels like Running Back, Correspondant, Permanent Vacation. His rework is built on a 707 beat,  lush bass and warm keys, and the strings take on a Balearic softness.  
Atmospheric and emotional , timeless and melancholic !

On 'Acceptance', Oliver and Niko invite us to an ancient, mythical rainforest, where exotic birdsong amongst the foliage verges on the threatening as rolling tribal drums and deep synth-swells create a tense atmosphere. Yet the pair illuminate the darkness midway: warm piano chords eventually wash over us, creating a sense of hope that is enhanced further by the next track, 'Lights of Denebola'. Here, a xylophone dances erratically on top of a well-rounded beat, eventually exploding in a cascade of powerful synths as bright as the star Denebola itself. On his remix of 'Lights of Denebola', Sam Shure also plays with strong tensions, letting a stark synth line climax in a moment of pure euphoria. There's light at the end of the tunnel.
