The rim of a chipped glass
Cuts a cold crescent into her thumb.
She doesn’t flinch —
Just watches the tram doors close on no one.

A grey coat soaks up rain,
But her face moves, rehearsed —
A faint blue smile stitched across
The ruins of a thought.

You see the watchers too?

The stranger’s hand too long, too tight.

Behind every movement,
A shadow stirs awake.
Behind every signal,
The edge begins to shake.

The faint blue smile

Empty café windows
Press reflections into skin.
Inside, a girl peels labels off a bottle;
Outside, she’s peeling her own grin.

The doorframe like it’s her last.
