Sunday Sessions #31 w/ Zero T

On Friday 6th June, the Dutch drum & bass producer, Lenzman, will toast the release of his Looking At The Stars album live in Room One. Released on Goldie’s inimitable Metalheadz label the fifteen track long player explores the Amsterdam based maestro’s brew of overtly musical, soulful blend of d&b. Saying “I wanted this album to be personal more than anything,” Lenzman’s certainly created a balanced album that fully reflects the spectrum of human emotion, [as the press release puts it] “from introspection to confidence and doubt”.

We’ll be catching up with Lenzman in depth and proper next week, but for now he’s pre-empted the interview, his album and the launch party by bestowing on us a 33 minute mix that includes and highlights the potency of a few upcoming cuts from Looking At The Stars…

In truth, this is actually the first time we've featured an exclusive mix from Hospital Records maestro, Nu:Tone. It's not been intentional, obviously, but consider that he will soon release his long awaited fourth studio album, Future History, perhaps we were waiting for the most apt time to deliver his renowned incendiary selections. Set to appear here in Room Two alongside LTJ Bukem on Friday 31st October, the drum and bass luminary has pulled together a fierce blast of exactly the kind of accelerated d&b funk he'll be serving come next week...

He's released on a fleet of major labels including Soul Deep Recordings, CIA and Liquid V but it's his flourishing relationship with Bukem and the material he's dropped via the seminal Goodlooking Records imprint that's helped give him his sterling reputation for fuelling that specialist sound, something he plans to fully demonstrate when he drops his long awaited debut album via LD Music later this year.
