Sweet Child O Mine - 1 hour challenge

The more I learn about music theory the greater my vocabulary becomes. This little piece using (as far as I can determine) 

I IV V I bVII IV #V mV mV I 

Really has a nice feel to it, and fits with my experimenting with chords outside the key.

20 seconds and over but oh well it flows well to me!

Open the Chest

Built off of a chord progression from back in April 2017, I messed around improvising over it and came up with the sax solo and then a one shot improvised piano solo. The bass I wrote specifically to fit and keep a nice walking beat in places but mainly this was done to have fun solo'ing over. Can't wait to continue coming back to it and just fiddling away at the keys.

This years halloween track. Although not expansive, it should satisfy the needs of the season. 

Beware where you step. I picture this piece accompanying someone transgressing across a graveyard and thus the name was spawned.

Beware Where You Step

Another year gone by and another christmas song written to fit the season. And of course this one has jingle bells in it, as is the requirement.

This one came off of another christmas one I was writing but was unable to finish in time, so some little hints of melody are taken, and played out here.

Christmas 2017

So it turns out that during my revision week about half a month ago I took a little time out to improv this little piece, and then subsequently forget just about all of it! Good going brain for trying to distract yourself but getting the info actually in your brain to push out this song. Time to refigure it out!

Procrastination Song

Following the spawning of many youtubers doing a writing a song in one hour, I have taken an hour of my time to do the same.
I used Studio One, which I have only used once or twice before so it was an experiment in two forms. And man did the time go quickly! Some of the lyrics of the second verse are evidently improvised as I was nearing the end, and the drum beat is simplistic as i've never written drums on the piano roll in studio one before, but two verses, two choruses, intro and mini break/outro, I would call that a song.

Another year, another attempt at a halloween spook-tacular composition.

Halloween 2018

I was messing around with Cmaj9 chord inversions and generated this little riff messing around with Cmaj9/G and Cmaj9 root. Building upon this piece changed it to have a more G6/11 feel to it, however I decided to not use any other chords than just G6/11 and G6/11/C, for it. 
So technically this is a one chord song.
And I can say I am very proud of myself for being able to create such a thing and show to myself that complexity isn't always needed.

Bounding Summer Steps

Just a little string piece to finish off the last minute of Soundcloud space before I run out of upload ability. I will consider going to the pro account but my input has been dwindling and my skills as well. So I may not post in a while.

Dwindling

30 Amateur scientist/musician just writing whatever comes to his head, his hands and his fingertips.
Apologies for poor sound quality, I write everything on guitar pro and either record using their midi or RSE database 
and record using audacity. But the music gets across, that is all that is needed.
