Born and raised in Barinas-Venezuela, Luquez began his DJ career at the early age of 16. Inspired by the music itself and its effect on people, he worked his way through to master the art of creating an atmosphere where people could not only enjoy his music but also connect with each other. “The energy I get from the audience every time a play a sound is a unique connection that drives me to work as hard as I can to support and help grow the underground electronic music culture wherever I am”.

Currently he is based in Brooklyn, NY and is becoming a very familiar face to the best underground techno/house parties throughout the city.

“Music expresses what can not be said, and what it is impossible to keep silent about.” This quotation from the french writer Victor Hugo describes what has always driven Cary Crank: to find a language that is multi-layered enough to express that which moves him.

Cary knew early on that music was his language. Growing up in Frankfurt, Germany, he witnessed the birth of techno live, and thoroughly immersed himself into its soundscape. An enthusiast of other genres as well, he played the guitar in rock bands, and produced electro pop for various projects. He built his own studio, which he transforms and reinvents time and time again.

Since turning to Melodic Techno in 2018, he released several tracks and remixes on labels like Monkey League, Flemcy Music, Royal Plastic, LorenZOO, Black Hole Recordings, Trippy Code, Shaman Black, Sunexplosion Records, and many more. His releases hit the Beatport Charts on a regular basis. The energy and analogue vibes in Cary's tracks are palpable, as he always travels to the core essence of a sound, and brings emotions to the dancefloor.

The Irrational grew up in Oran-Algeria, expatriated to France in 2001 as a control systems student, and settled in Berlin-Germany in 2006. He is currently chief engineer control systems and renewables.
As a teenager, he started his musical journey in the hip-hop and R&B scene to slowly converge to more hypnotic sounds. He creates Tech-House and Techno sets. He released two techno tracks the ‘NaN_914519’ contains samples from the 60’s sci-fi series ‘The Prisoner’ and ‘Afro- Acidiac’ a pure industrial techno track containing samples from a real wind turbine generator noise. He recently featured in the DB Artists Podcast hosted by Idriss D.
The Irrational is fascinated by sound processing and perception and, using engineering principles, looks forward to positively impacting the electronic music community. He is currently working towards releasing his first EP.

A resident of events such as Lechuza Sessions and Trilogy NYC, his musical selections are heavily based on African drums, Latin grooves, and raw electronic sounds. Techno, Afro-house, and Progressive house are some of the regular selections in his sets, in which he tries to create a musical journey for the people on the dance floor.
