While i sat lazily and all alone in the church plucking some chords, i watched the colors from the stained glass windows sliding slowly over the floor. A little bird flew by. His whistling inspired me to create this tiny tune. I called it Birdie.

Birdie

A round and long intro with cuatro and double bass. Notes coming, notes going. The marimba invites you to join this Almazogoe trip from A to nowhere.

A - Round

The somewhat hidden bass tune is leading to high-pitched crystal sounding notes. A glass-organ with spells of sunlight. Imagine a church without devotees but with a lot of trees that grow high, up to the arches. There sits my secret muse.

Between Two Trees

I sat down to play my cuatro and hum along the chords that came up out of the blue. When i listened to the recording i imagined a female choir joining me on their way back from a drinking party. In the middle of the song they took off. Then an old man came playing the bass. He looked a lot like captain Zeppos, captain of the first boat-car in Flanders.

My most beloved singer Lhasa de Sela (+2010) made a small song, many years ago. She inspired me to make a small blues.
