0:00 - 2:26: original version. all produced in mobile for this part.
2:26 - 4:22: extended edit in 2024 using stems send from the mobile app, where ive arranged and duplicated stems to make a new part and added stuff not present in the original version like vst plugins which as of now isn't possible in mobile still.

sometimes i love detuned music

today, my parents (both this time) went to a thrift store and usually its not packed with a lot of stuff around the electronics/artifacts section but this time some crewmembers were carrying a whole lot of vintage stuff, such as this harp. both were speculating the name but i liked larp more than "harp music maker".

the larp itself is very detuned when they brought it too the house. imo, i felt some etherical vibe to this thing when detuned. we'll tune it when time comes but i just love the sound already the way it is today!

so before my siblings would make all noises they want, i came around to sample the larp! of course it took some work around being patient plucking the notes and making sure there's less stupid noise as possible, i did some prepared stuff meaning taking weird found things and shoving it to the larp on their strings to create different tones of their sound which i ended up keeping 3 extra percussive sounds, added noise reduction, splicing clips, and shoving them into directwave to create my first sound library! it ain't perfect but i love how it turned out. made a little demo of it!

also if you want more metallicy sounds, on the "zone" tab, where it has "main", "time", and "trigger", select time, turn on the time, and then mess around the settings :)))) (i featured this technique in this demo)
