The Revenge of the Alligator
Down in tropic Florida
In the swampy Everglades
Where the swamp creatures live
And the little duckies wade

There lived a lonely alligator
Those monsters that we dread
There lived a mean old alligator
I think his name was Fred

Now Fred had lived a hermit’s life
In his secluded pond
And with an awful passion
Of preppies he wasn’t fond

Fred wasn’t any dummy
He was thinking out a plan
To get rid of all those awful preps
And clear them from the land

So he went to the nearest airport
With hopes of no jet lag
He even had his own disguise
Posed as an alligator bag

Up to Boston Massachusetts
The flight was due at ten
The gator waited patiently
So patiently, and then

Fred leaped out from his disguise
Right in the baggage claim
As he rose up, the people gasped
At Fred’s gigantic frame

He terrorized the businessmen,
Kids in Izod shirts
Docksiders worn without the socks
Turquoise or green skirts

When he was finished at the airport
He hailed himself a cab
But ate the driver when he asked
For Fred to pay the tab

He ate up all the preppies
And all the preppy stores
He even hit the colleges
Gobbling up the college dorms

But then a strange thing happened
To Fred with all his wealth
From being near so many preps
He became a preppy himself!

So if you’re ever in Boston
Just keep your top lip stiff
and if you're ever in Boston
& You see an alligator
Who says his name is Biff

I came from Michigan to Oregon in 1994;  there are roughly 7 states between.  Now I stay home and try to listen to birds mostly.
Note 2023- I changed the words 'from my peoples ways I parted' to 'from my people long departed' because someone said it sounded like I was saying farted. I think they were right, their kids spotted it. Kids are smart.

A friend of mine, her dad really did plug holes with toothpaste.
The people in this image are harvesting pine tar, which did not kill the trees though they bear scars, the v shapes climb up the trunk in a pattern...it has multiple uses from weatherproofing fabric to healing viral infections...you can often find chunks of pine tar under pine trees, or attached to the trunk but harvestable.

Some of the first 20 tracks I have scored in Musescore (free version).
The instrument sounds are quite extraordinary- I would never be able to develop my music as I have without Musescore.  To have an absolutely accurate score and parts played for free on demand, (strange how they grow on you, how even the sound of machines can...grow on you...)(the sound of leafblowers, well...so polychromatic...but I wish THEY would cease...)
