In all of his 26 years (32 actually, but he doesn't like to admit it), Jacques Detroit has only ever set foot in France twice, is yet to visit the USA, and is not a direct descendant of a family from either country. In fact, he’s about as French as Welsh Cakes, and as American as Communism....

Actually, Jacques is nothing more than a guy with a particular fondness of Jackin House & Deep Bass - 59Fifty Hats (size 7 1/8 if you want to buy him a present) - and Crabbies Ginger Beer....throw in some Jagermeister, and you've got one happy non-Frenchman on your hands.

So far, under a number of different pseudonyms, including his real name, Alun Wilkins, Jacques has played for brands and clubs such as Gatecrasher, Cream and Club Azuli, along with others where his musical style has ranged in everything from Tech-House to Bassline, Deep-House to Dubstep and everything in between (although he draws the line at Gangnam Style). He's also remixed tracks for the likes of Matt Samuels, Abigail Bailey, Ted Nilsson, Uber Dj's and Mikey Dalton to name a few.

However, when given the choice, Jacques has always fallen back on the bassier, deeper, but bouncier style of electronic music (or EDM if you’re a daft American)...basically, the stuff that gets you dancing like it’s 1999, and this is what he’s decided to concentrate his efforts on, albeit adding his own unique twist along the way....
