'October' is the last song I wrote for 'Lost Year' - before I even knew it was going to be a tape. It felt like 100 degrees outside, my life was a mess and even my shower had slowed to a trickle of cold water. Some months start and you're just waiting for the next one, right? If you feel this, hang in there - I promise it will get better some day. Love you all and thanks for listening xxx

A day in the life of Ffredi's rakish French alter-ego, L'ami de Jacques Renard. Kind of Dave Brubeck meets Serge Gainsbourg. 

While he might enjoy having red wine for breakfast and charming the ladies, he still has to do unstylish work on the computer. At the end of the day though, he's satisfied with sorting out the books in his library, watching the birds and letting his beard grow.

This track features Sophie Wozencraft on drums, and the awesome clarinet work of Tom Deakin (Klezmonauts, The Bumtones).
