All That Glitters

The highs and lows of depression is something everyone experiences at some point. But some experience it more than others and it's a major part of their life. I wanted this song to find the beauty in human fragility and to say "yes it's turbulent, but that's okay; keep holding on to your anchor". This is dedicated to a dear friend of mine, whose beauty shines through, even through the darkness.

Goldmine

This song was written about the war and genocide in 1990s Bosnia. But it has a wider application, being dedicated to all those who live through the horrors of war every day. Every single line in this song is based on actual accounts and photos published by photojournalists. "A song emerges" refers both to the cry of the people, and to the songs that underground Bosnian bands released into the international market, asking for help.

Getaway

This track features on my debut album, to be released in May 2016! We all need a little hope and everyone values authenticity. That's what this song is about; having the courage to be authentic.

"Southern Lights" is the first piece in a suite of three by Australian composer Jacqueline Ward. It is inspired by the aurora australis, the 'Northern lights' of the south. It is performed by Sydney-based choral ensemble AURORA CHORALIS, conducted by Dr Robb Dennis.
