The hours consume, they grind me to dust
A life built on anger, depression, disgust
Day after day, the weight of my skin
Is the shape of failure, my ugly twin

I dream that I’m flying, a phoenix of flame
I breathe in the colors, they know me by name
I live in the Out Side, my home for the night 
The dream is my real life and all else is lies

Im the puppet they laugh at, torment, and tease
The world doesn’t care, it delights in disease 
Rage is my blood, a hatred within 
I’d rather be dead than forced to fit in

Yet three are turned back, cursing my name.

Rejected, defiant, maligned by design
