Hey everyone! Here is track two of my twenty one pilots edit EP. This is a chillstep edit of Tear in My Heart off of their Blurryface album. I know there are two things you might be thinking before and after hearing it.The first is you confused about me making something into a genre that is considered dead. The second is after listening that it doesn’t exactly feel like a chillstep song. As a fan of dubstep, I will admit that the genre has passed its peak and will probably remain an underground EDM genre from now on. That doesn’t mean however that I still don’t really enjoy the genre and the artists who helped push it. I also know that if you ever listened to a chillstep song, this song may not qualify for it. I wanted to experiment the genre. I wanted the bass to stand out in dubstep fashion, but not overbear the whole song. I also wanted to create that chill vibe by adding in strings that also don’t overbear. I definitely wanted to add on to the concept of dubstep, and by dubstep, I meant the more relaxing bass style of dubstep rather than the heavy Skrillex style of dubstep which is known as brostep (which I also enjoy. That wasn’t any sort of attack on the subgenre). This might not be for everyone, but hopefully some of you enjoy it. Take care everyone!
