Sedvs joins for DifferentSound Podcast #202.

Hailing from Vienna, Sedvs constantly deepens his excursions and elaborates his sound with every release. Undeniably influenced by the mangled sound of the UK, the founding member of Bare Hands Records takes cues from the motor city’s funk, leading to his very own sonic interpretation, reflected in themes of manic repetition, complex rhythms, driving percussion and meticulous sequencing in his own tracks as well as his high-octane DJ Sets. Apart from his regular contribution to the viennese music and clubbing scene, Sedvs has been acclaimed on the international stage with his music. With ”Paradise Lost” he lately released his first LP on Bare Hands.

Truant is undoubtedly a dynamic figure in the world of electronic music. There is probably no club in Poland where Patrick did’t played, not to mention festivals. From 2014, Truant could be heard at most Polish festivals such as Audioriver Festival, Opener Festival, LAS Festival, Plötzlich Am Meer, Wisłoujście, Come With Us, Summer Contrast as well as winter Snowfest. Currently associated with the capital clubs: Smolna and Luzztro.

First time behind the decks was around 2004 in the legendary, but unfortunately no longer existing Paragraph 51. Since that time he has been oscillating between different genres. His skills allows him to start a set from breaks through tribal old-school techno and industrial sounds ending with jungle or drum and bass. Over the past 15 years, he has managed to build a solid foundation to call him a human orchestra. How do you determine Truant current style? Pumping techno with raw industrial and fast hi-hats.
