La octogésima octava sesión está a cargo del artista “LaXense” originario de la Ciudad de México nos presenta un DJ set que habita en los límites entre lo introspectivo y lo maquinal. A través de una selección minuciosa que entrelaza IDM, Ambient y Techno, LaXense construye un paisaje sonoro oscuro, etéreo y profundamente inmersivo. El set se despliega como un ritual sonoro: comienza con capas ambientales casi imperceptibles, texturas granuladas que emergen lentamente como una niebla industrial sobre estructuras abandonadas. A medida que avanza, los pulsos rítmicos aparecen con precisión quirúrgica —minimalistas, pero densos—, empujando al oyente hacia un trance introspectivo.
Cada transición está cargada de tensión y atmósfera: glitches digitales, distorsiones sutiles y sintetizadores envolventes crean un espacio que vibra entre lo orgánico y lo mecánico. Las influencias del techno oscuro se filtran como latidos en un entorno post-industrial, donde cada beat es una respiración contenida, una marcha hipnótica hacia lo desconocido.
Este DJ set no busca euforia ni soltura; propone un descenso, un viaje hacia lo profundo —a través de la niebla, del concreto, del ruido. LaXense no solo mezcla música, sino que esculpe estados mentales. Ideal para espacios alternativos, galerías de arte sonoro, clubes de escucha o momentos de exploración sensorial nocturna.

In September 2002 Mika Vainio, Ryoji Ikeda and Alva Noto (Carsten Nicolai) were invited by the Baltic Centre For Contemporary Art for a residency. As a result of this project three live performances followed this research period.

All the tracks on this record were recorded live on September 23, 2002 at the Baltic Centre For Contemporary Art in Newcastle, UK.

Three years in the making only to be held up nearly another whole year due to COVID, this dark brooding monster of an EP by Brussels-based artist Strapontin, aka multi-disciplinary artist Patrick Belmont, is finally seeing the daylight on Invisible, Inc. Clocking in at over 35-minutes, the record is almost album-length and spans a multitude of depths and moods with elements of techno, new wave, rock 'n' roll, house, and tribal… all glued together with a sleazy atmosphere reminiscent of the electronic body music pioneered by Strapontin’s Belgian forefathers Front 242 and their German peers DAF. Add to this a heads-down-no-nonsense darkroom beast of a remix by techno maestro Sascha Funke and the package is complete.

About the track we were given to premiere, Strapontin himself said: “It started with a desire to move away a bit from my dancefloor side and go into more undefined fields, I wanted to work with blurry sensations that I can't understand. I like mixed feelings, and ‘Dramatex 300’ is made of that ambivalent mood. The voice is saying 'I'm feeling empty' and 'I'm feeling healthy' at the same time. I like that paradox”.
