Born in Winnipeg, Canada, and raised in Seattle, Kerry Leimer began his musical journey in the mid 1970s, inspired by the post-hippy European innovations of bands like Can, Neu!, Faust and Cluster. He scoured pawnshops for cheap electronic recording equipment, and later multi-track tape machines and Moog synthesizers. It was this equipment, married with Leimer's own esoteric inspirations and lack of formal musical training, which lead to  his uncovering of otherworldly and unique sonic spaces.

I’ve been experimenting further with re-tuning everything I own into Carnatic scales and using chance operations in my sequencing to control slides, accents and reverb and delay sends.

I used to use maxmsp to retune synths using midi guitar mode and pitch bend on each channel with a snazzy custom patch I built but now oddsound just does it all for me. I think they built weird scales into live itself now but oddsound MTS does it better. I've become slightly obsessed with the bhairavi raga scales, they're dreamy. 

Is anyone else really suffering with live 12? It crashes all the time for me when any project reaches over a few tracks in size...

Volume 1 marks the debut compilation from Electronic Underground, bringing

together 13 tracks that span the wide spectrum of underground electronic music. From progressive and oldschool-leaning electro to raw techno, breakbeat, ambient and noise, the release captures the label’s core ethos: to celebrate diversity within electronic subgenres and provide a platform for emerging voices.


DJ Unisex is an interdisciplinary DJ, Producer and Label Chief originating from Dessau (Germany). After international performances in Mexico, Switzerland and the Netherlands he released music on several labels, such as Distritio 91, P.A.C. Recs, Get Busy and Voragine. While his production style is heavily influenced by the sound of Old-School Electro and Dutch Westcoast synthesizer experiments, his DJ sets combine it all with a hefty preference for harsh Acid Lines and catchy synth rhythms. 
Since 2020 he is co-running the record label Self Learning System. In 2025 he started a residency on Callshop Radio, called Across The Hiss, showcasing a variety of different genres.

Non-places, as defined by anthropologist Marc Augé, are impersonal spaces human being can’t truly inhabit: airports, supermarkets or open-plan offices — places limited to transit and consumption, replicated worldwide and characteristic of late stage capitalism. Marketing has equipped these spaces with a soundtrack of similar properties, conditioning human ears to hear without listening, blending muzak, jingles, news channels, and chill playlists into a seamless auditory background.
Rather than presenting an idealised vision of nature — which is, incidentally, often represented within non-places — Nonexistent Landscape offers a counterpoint: an imaginary landscape in which the sense of strangeness stems not from indeterminacy or interchangeability, but from an eerie quality (as defined by Mark Fisher in The Weird and the Eerie: "Why is there something here when there should be nothing? Why is there nothing here when there should be something?").
Sayaka Botanic has brought together her sonic and visual experiments to set them in dialogue. On "Prologue", fragments of her voice can be heard, but much like in her portraits, she never fully reveals herself - something is missing from a human existence, yet there is too much substance for a spectral presence. On "The Path", the sound of the violin gradually mutates: instruments, electronics, and magnetic tape are the core elements of her music, but identifying the origin of a sound is as elusive as deciphering the source of one of her photographs. Nonexistent Landscape invites us to detach from reality and move toward an outside that may not seem welcoming, but is nonetheless inhabitable.
