3000Grad stampft stramm auf die 100 zu. Um sich für das runde Jubiläum einzugrooven hat man zwei alteFreunde eingeladen - zwei Herrschaften, die schon im letzten Jahrhundert für wochenendliche Dachabrissefeinster Machart sorgten: Dole & Kom. Auf Katalognummer 099 zeigen sich die beiden als jung gebliebeneAltmeister. Wie das geht? Einerseits schwingt in ihren warmen, federnden Bässen und lustvoll an der Hirnrindekitzelnden Hihats die alte Magie von Stammestänzen mit. Wie meisterlich das umgesetzt wurde zeigt sich daran,dass man sich der Eingängigkeit der drei Tracks weder entziehen noch sie erklären kann. Und jung geblieben istdiese EP in den modernen Klangfarben ihrer Melodien und Samples. Der Titel Something Quiet ist übrigens miteinem Augenzwinkern zu verstehen: So deep und melodisch die Tracks auch ins Ohr fließen – das mit dem ruhigbleiben ist bei ihrem Genuss so eine Sache.

3000Grad is approaching 100. Here's two old friends to warm us up for this anniversary – two gentlemenwho have been blowing up dancefloors on a weekendly basis since the last century already: Dole & Kom. Oncatalogue number 099 the two of them showcase their remarkable skill to merge the past, the present and thefuture into moments of uttermost bliss. How does that work? There's the old magic of their warm, bouncybasses and the soft tickle of their hi hats, a magic that was already conjured up at ancient tribal dances. Howmasterfully this is done becomes clear when you realize that you can neither resist the catchiness of these threetracks nor explain it. Finally it all sounds very fresh and young thanks to it's modern melodies and samples. Bythe way, you gotta take the title of this EP, Something Quiet, with a grain of salt – as deep, fluent and melodic asit might sound, it's really tricky to keep your feet still when listening to it.

Sounds Of Khemit builds on the success of their first release by quickly following up with a superb various artist collection. A broad mix of artists from around the world all contribute to what is a brilliantly diverse album. 

The Sounds of Khemit label is focused on serving up music to transport the listener to higher states of consciousness, unlocking and strengthening our life mission on this planet. It aims to bring harmony and joy to people in their daily lives, and this new collection sure backs that up. 

LA-based deep house dreamer Sarkis Mikael kicks it off with 'Mountain Rising,' a gently undulating groove laden with bittersweet chords and keys that rise through the mix. UK duo Death on the Balcony has a stylish house sound and has released on the likes of All Day I Dream. They offer 'Lake Andromeda,' a humid roller with wispy pads and the gentle patter of toms papering the groove. Label co-founder Nhii and Wild Dark return to Sounds Of Khemit after contributing 'Hanga Roa' to the first EP. 'Dreamers' is seven seductive minutes of cloudy synths and pillowy drums that sink you in deep. 

Ykonosh is an up-and-coming Mexican duo composed of life-long friends. They have already turned heads with tunes on Underyourskin Records, and now 'Heka' takes you into a late night and exotic world of enchanting house music. Fabian Krooss is a Berlin-based talent who also appeared on this label's first EP. His 'Papilio' is beautifully delicate and roomy, with fractured melodies darting about over soft drums. Turkey's Serkan Eles has travelled between downtempo, ethnic and melodic house throughout his career. Here he does so to spine-tingling effect thanks to the heavenly vocal that hangs above his succulent house grooves. 

The Seville outfit Holed Coin always tends to tell musical stories that fuse the organic with the electronic. With 'Learning', they go slow, leaving you plenty of space and time to get lost in the arcing pads and jumbled percussive sounds. B.o.T's 'Poor Stranger' then gets more upright with a breezy house groove packed with melodic and percussive details. London based Kindisch artist Jim Rider brings the majestic 'Hunter's Harp,' before Jordanian pair and alternative desert house duo Fairplay deliver 'Things' a slice of eerie and atmospheric house. The album closes with Vruno, a Chile-born but Berlin-based artist who again showcases his naturalistic sounds with the epic strings and melodies of 'Pali Satty.' 

Khepri is a fine statement of musical intent from this already vital label.

Breaking into the scene in 2018, Armenian artist Socko has made great strides as a DJ playing for the majority of clubs and events in Armenia, becoming very popular in his motherland. Opening his production account in 2019 on Pipe and Pochet, Socko is now signed to several influential labels including Behrouz’ Do Not Sit, Shango and down. 

Opening with two tracks featuring Romanian artist IV-IN, ‘Queen Is An Eagle’ a lowslung, nu-disco vibe saunters with bluesy vocals. Rubber band guitar licks and sleazy keys provide musical asides as the track gathers momentum midway before an oasis of a break and chunky conclusion. 

Next up ‘Ghost is Not Human’ continues apace with nuanced guitars forming the low end, and moody keys punctuating the sombre male vocals. Organ lines midway add energy and interest. Finally, with the vocal talents of D’Litte, the EP draws to a close with ‘Red Wet Dress’. Ticking clock percussion and sweet vocals juxtapose in the most delightful way as a disturbing mutated siren signals the introduction of bass and tension. A thoroughly classy and creatively complex debut for an artist on the cusp of worldwide notoriety.

Noraj Cue returns home to Happy Camper Records to introduce his latest musical adventure ‘Inner Glitch’, a fantastic full length album series. It comes as an emblematic sampler on vinyl followed by a trilogy of digital releases.

This Dutch artist likes organic sounds filled with real world dust and compelling grooves. He explores every corner of the house realm and always makes musical stories that keep you locked. Constantly tinkering with drum and synth, Noraj Cue has applied his unique talent for experimentation to one studio and one album. And in a career that spans 15 years, his creative touch has impacted the EP's of Tale and Tone, Katermukke and Connaisseur Recordings.

Noraj Cue offers up a musical thesis with Inner Glitch. He explores what he posits is the three aspects that comprise the being of human beings. He suggests that in life we are either presenting our outer self (polished, camouflaged, rehearsed), our inner self (vulnerable, protective, emotional) or our core self (connected to life itself and fundamental to the fulfilment of our self-expression). His music explores the amorphous space of each self and the indistinct places they meet. "Your feelings and perceptions, is that you? Or are these them?” The exploration of which has taken this courageous artist on a musical epic. And now, simply by closing your eyes after hitting play, so can you.

Things kick off with the lush deep house synth-scapes of 'This Won't Last' and take in wonky melodic grooves like 'Bloody Musicbox,' chunky tribal drums on 'Red Throated Diver' and dubby minimal like 'Stoffig.'

Following remixes & EP's on Tale & Tone, UnderYourSkin, Klassified and Supernature in 2019, this majestic new album touches on a wide span of moods and flavours, and shows off this Dutch artist's unique sonic vision and fine synth skills in real style.
