For the occasion Reemah from the island of St. Croix is back on vocal duties for the label - the result: a beautiful tune called ‘What Goes Around’ in a versatile lyrical style. On the flipside then - a ’Trumpet Situation’ - an uplifting instrumental cut featuring Berlin’s own Vale on the instrument. Both on an oldschool-style drum and bass driven riddim recorded in Brixton by the legendary Mafia & Fluxy rhythm section, spiced with some percussion by brother K’boko. The whole project was given to the dubmaster Nick Manasseh for mixing and the right treatment in his The Yard Studio and then mastered from 1/2inch tape at Star Delta in the UK. Now served with dubs and a fitting artwork by Chloé Bernal - ready to be played loud.

Ewart Beckord, aka U-Roy nous a quittés le 17 février dernier, à l'âge de 78 ans. Avec lui, c'est un immense pan de la musique jamaicaïne qui disparaît. Actif depuis le début des années 1960, celui qui a popularisé le fait de parler sur une rythmique (faire le deejay ou toaster) d'abord en sound system puis en studio, a une carrière qui embrasse quasiment tous les styles du reggae et de ses ramifications : rocksteady, roots, rub-a-dub, dub, dancehall et même hip hop. Fan absolu du toaster, le MC et selecta Sir James le cite comme l'une de ses plus grandes inspirations dont il collectionne naturellement les disques. Pour l'occasion,  il replonge dans ses bacs et passe en studio pour enregistrer une énorme tribute selection au père de tous les deejays, the Originator. 30 titres 100% vinyles qui forment un indispensable hommage à cette légende dont les innombrables hits resteront immortels tant qu'ils seront joués ! Hailing from the picturesque French Alps, my journey in music began back in 1998, amidst the captivating sounds of Riva Hifi and Reverse Side Sound. Over the years, I've evolved into a versatile artist—a selector with an eclectic collection of records, a DJ adept in the rub-a-dub style, and a skilled dub maker. Beyond music, I express myself as a drawer, a painter, and a digital graphic artist.

Crafting my compositions involves a symphony of talents—I wield the bass and guitar, orchestrate intricate drum sequences, and meticulously refine each track through digital mixing and mastering. My creative palette draws inspiration from a diverse array of musical luminaries including Lee Scratch Perry, Beastie Boys, Mad Professor, Bad Brains, and the legendary Bob Marley. Yet, it's the camaraderie with my peers, such as Soul Doctor and Mineral K, that enriches my musical perspective.

Despite facing the challenge of deafness, my sonic sensibilities remain razor-sharp, infusing each note with palpable intensity and emotion. In live sessions, the essence of Reverse Side productions comes to life, as we unveil a repertoire brimming with original songs, dubs, and bespoke productions.

My journey has intertwined with the trajectories of both modern icons and revered legends in the realms of reggae and hip-hop. Sharing stages with luminaries like Afu Ra, General Levy, and Queen Omega, I've traversed continents, leaving an indelible mark on audiences worldwide. Collaborating with esteemed sound systems, I've embraced the ethos of Words, Sound, Power—ready to ignite hearts and minds with the transcendent force of music.
