Do Not Sleep, the infamous party brand and label from Ibiza, took over San Francisco’s newest 24-hour club, Halcyon, on 18th February. For 5-hours the coveted Halcyon turntables were taken over by Do Not Sleep regulars Carlo Lio and Nathan Barato where the Canadian groove masters spun cosmic house into funky techno and kept crowds dancing until dawn.

Halcyon opened its doors in November 2016 with a mission to set the highest standards in clubbing. Since then it has welcomed some of electronic music’s most talented artists to the helm, including, Dubfire, Fritz Kalkbrenner (live), Madmotormiquel, Jan Blomqvist (live), Sharam, DJ Sneak, Serge Devant, Visionquest (Lee Curtiss & Ryan Crosson), Kenny Dope, Tiefschwarz, Lee Burridge, Marco Bailey and more. 

It was only a matter of time before the illustrious Do Not Sleep made its way across the Atlantic to bring its unique Balearic vibe to San Francisco. It’s unquestionable that these giants of the white isle was enticed by the multi-sensory clubbing environment created by the Halcyon family, which includes a hand-picked sound team, creative director & talent buyer, dancers and costume designers, all of whom hail from Ibiza. This team has ensured Halcyon is the first club in San Fran able to deliver events similar in quality and vibe to the best parties in Ibiza. 
 
But back to the mix in question, those who follow the scene will know that Carlo and Nathan are the brains behind the Rawthentic Music label, sometime studio partners, and regulars at Do Not Sleep Ibiza. 
 
For Carlo, his best known production is his remix of ‘Diablo’ by Dubfire and Oliver Huntemann that when released on Cocoon Recordings, topped charts everywhere. Ever since, Carlo’s discography has exploded, with his music catching the eyes and ears of some of the biggest labels on the market including, SCI+TEC, Bedrock Records, MOOD, Desolat, Suara, Intec Digital, and Mindshake Records just to name a few. 
 
For Nathan, it was Marco Carola first rinsing his 2012 hit ‘Hard Werq’ that shot him to fame and a spot on the Music On roster soon followed. Nathan was also championed by Jamie Jones who deemed him a new star at the Hot Creations camp while making Nathan’s ‘Wobble Talk’ EP a mainstay in his sets. Nathan’s music is being released on some of the most prestigious imprints in the industry, including the aforementioned Hot Creations and spinoff Hottrax, as well as Rekids, Cajual, Saved Records, MOOD, and of course, his very own Roots And Wings label. 
 
These DJs delivered something special to the Halcyon crowds for a marathon 5 hours. Listen back and go on a journey never before heard outside of the Halcyon walls.
