Reservoir Dub is happy to release a compilation of tunes composed and mixed by the french dubmaker Gary Clunk. This album is called “Archives of Dub vol.3” and includes 6 tunes + the 6 dub versions. Those Archives of Dub are a picture of a period : the tracks were mixed between 2015 and 2020… 100% stepper style! The first two volumes has been successfully released through the labels “French Dub Released” and “ODG Prod”.

For those who don’t know Gary Clunk : he’s a French dub producer since 2003 located around Bordeaux. He created Storm & Break records with his friend Hatman. He’s also involved in several projects like The Subvivors and was playing in the band Uptown Rebel a few years ago. His live dub spirit was mostly inspired by Improvisators Dub and Manutension. Gary Clunk represent – among some friends – The Bordeaux Dub School.

Archives of Dub vol.3 isavailable for free directly though our website from the 16th of December 2021 but also on bandcamp and the streaming platforms!

Being at the center of Haile Selassie’s teaching, "Balance" is also a key concept of the Rastafari Livity inspiring reggae singer Alpha D to write a song on the subject.

Originally recorded on one of Injham’s heavy weight dub instrumentals, the tune’s powerful lyrics and flow caught the ears of Apocalypse Dub Faction (UK) who revisited it, creating his own vocal version along with 2 exclusive, earth-shaking, dub versions.

Alpha D was honored when his old friend and partner in Dub, Moshi Kamachi, accepted to release this project on his mighty record label King Dub Records adding as a bonus track a song called "Vision" that Alpha D and Dhamma Djarra had recorded together on another powerful Injham riddim. 

A mixture of conscious lyrics, enchanting melodies and booming basslines, KDR022 will be enjoyed by all roots and culture sound system lovers. As a free download, all we ask is that you help promote the message by sharing the music with all your friends.

The tape heads of the Jahtari echo machines have been finetuned, the reverb modules are rewired, the bass implant is set to maximum blast and now the third episode of our ongoing series called “Jahtarian Dubbers” is ready to rock your walkman for a long time to come.

Mikey Murka went up to the dancehall again, John Frum is back with a hauntingly beautiful dub, Maffi team up with Ranking Levy from MyLord Sound while the Jahtari Riddim Force is on the loose, El Fata rinses Tapes‘ smashing “Gold Love Riddim”, disrupt dug out a forgotten treasure from the vault and Rootah runs his tube delays into the red zone.

Wearing the black belt for beatmaking and new in the Jahtari camp is Monkey Marc (who supplied a wicked instrumental to the last Roots Manuva album). Our favourite sound system champions Mungo’s Hifi are about to blow your speakers alongside veteran Jim Nastics, plus there’s a very special Rootah version of a Dub Syndicate / Adrian Sherwood classic – with Lee Perry (!) on the mic, lazergun in hand, straightjacket and all. So better pack enough supplies for an interstellar trip – this one might take a while.
