Soul Ex Machina is proud to announce its first vinyl release, featuring a hot three-tracker from Prague based producer with Slovak origins - EchoBoy. His background in digital reggae, as a former half of the Riddim Tuffa duo has clearly left its mark on the foundation of his current production. Delving in contemporary sounds from the deeper side of dubstep, infused with strong roots and dub influences, while keeping a steadfast focus on the current production standards. The EP is a testament to EchoBoy's skill as a producer, demonstrating his ability to weave together diverse elements into a cohesive result that is both innovative and deeply satisfying. The three tracks on "Roots of Dub EP" showcase his unique approach to his influences.

"Roots of Dub" is the first track on the EP, and it is a slow-burning masterpiece with a deep, rumbling bassline that gradually builds in intensity with each passing moment. The track draws inspiration from the rich tradition of dub music, with haunting melodies and subtle effects that create a hypnotic soundscape."We Lock Down The Block" is the second track on the EP. The Finnish Dubstep heroes The Clouds, whose killer tunes like “Shallow” are just roaming the Dubstep world, are about to drop their heavy “Elders” cut with Jahtari. Based on a haunting, down-pitched vocal acapella of dancehall legend Cocoa-Tea this wicked riddim comes with a killah bassline that will be a challenge to every heavy duty sound system. Crazy sample action going down in the Ras Amerlock Dub version on A2.

The tune is getting a completely new drift on B1, when Jahtari roots master Rootah is heating up his analogue tubes to shoot the riddim into a new dimension. Finishing this wax is an ultra-kicking Dubstep refix by Wadadda (Police In Helicopter, MG77) which will easily blow off the roof of every dancefloor.

Our first release of 2021 showcases the dub skills of Rotterdam-based @dub-communication label boss, @Frenk-Dublin. Bringing luxurious dub and dubtechno flavours to the table, this release is a remarkable demonstration of the versatility of Frenk Dublin's production.

A - Into the Wetlands
Frenk Dublin provides a stomping 130BPM dubstep-infused track to open up his release. Fulfilling every dub lover's desire with heavy splashes of reverb and endless echoes, the thick layers of an organ's harmony and swirling melodies add an authentic nod in the direction of the ancestor-genre of reggae.

B - Aoukili
With an obvious dubtechno base for it's composition, 'Aoukili' manages to expertly fuse the aesthetics and sonic palette of dubtechno with the groove of genres such as techno and house, without sacrificing the darkness and sonic depth at the heart of dubtechno.

All records will be hand-cut by the dubplate-cutting master Henry Bainbridge at @Dubstudio onto 10" transparent plates!
