Set deep in the heavy fog of Swamp Pop and Blues, the album drips with humidity and ache. The grooves are slow and thick, like river water after a storm—churning with memory, regret, and the kind of sorrow that doesn’t ask for sympathy. Vocals are raw and low, grounded in a contralto that doesn’t flinch. Every lyric is a confession, every chord a confrontation.
This isn’t heartbreak for the sake of drama. It’s heartbreak as forensic evidence. The songs don’t just mourn the ending—they dissect it. They ask: Who was I loving? Who was I becoming? And they don’t offer easy answers.
