Jails and Churches are an experimental Australian band formed by Luke Fox (Sunk Loto) and Sean Van Gennip (Sunk Loto)  in January 2012.  The pair began recording demos inspired by the work of free thinkers such as David Icke and Michael Tsarian and the Zieitgeist movement. The bands musical influences span across many diverse genres and styles while promoting free expression and human enlightenment. While searching for a drummer, Luke and Sean saw a performance by Australian drumming veteran Dave Atkins (Wolf Mother, Resin Dogs, Pangaea) and approached him with the demos. Dave then joined the band and helped to produce the material and develop it further.  Shortly after Dave was recruited on drums Luke showed the demos they had completed so far to Jon Stockman (Karnivool). John then joined the band as a multi instrumentalist and begun jamming and compiling ideas for an album release. Luke Fox then recruited guitarist Jarrod McAuley (Vaudeville) as a final member to complete the line up. The band is currently producing and recording there debut album and will be announcing tour dates shortly.
