For our final Utopia Radio show of 2022 we air a mixtape from the gatekeeper of all things Balearic Mr Jaime Fiorito as he gets sweaty and wonky bringing us an hour on his Acid Train. Jaime is one of the globes finest disc jockeys as he travels the world spreading the sounds of his native white isle and beyond. His private discotheques and sunset to sunrise parties are some of the finest you can find on the island as well as being a regular at all of Ibizas clubbing institutions since he was just a boy alongside his father the legendary pioneer DJ Alfredo.

A DJ whose taste stretches the realms of Nu Beat, Afro, Cosmic, Disco, House and funky Techno; we are delighted to welcome Jaime Fiorito for our next Phonica Friends and Family mix. Having been exposed to such a large vast knowledge of music through his father, the legendary Balearic don DJ Alfredo, Jaime from a young age was born to follow in his footsteps. His style of DJing which currently touches off  leftfield house & techno, disco, African rhythms and seductive balearic have seen him touchdown at hot spots all over Ibiza, South America and Berlin's Panorama Bar.

This is as Balearic as it gets… sometimes people ask me what is Balearic? and for everyone it seems a little different but with the main definition of mixing different musical  styles together who have the “ibiza feel” to it. 

For some it is to play weird and rare exotic version of know songs from the 80’s and 90’s mixed in with sofa house induced house flavors and for me it is just to play what ever the F*** I want to hear in that moment to make people dance…

So here it a is, a Balearic (Mostly Vinyl) mix I recorded at the Closing of HOMIES at Pikes last week. A spontaneous blend of Cosmic Disco, Classic House, Italian Tribal, Breakbeats and Filtered French Cuts on Acid.
