A MELODIC TECHNO RIDE 2

Here's an R&B / Hip-Hop mix, that I have been wanting to do for two decades already, featuring some of my favorite artists. 
This is my first R&B / Hip Hop mix and it wasn't an easy task, I was sweating it. I'm used to mixing House & Techno which I discovered it is actually very easy compared to mixing R&B and Hip Hop. Even though the mixes are quicker, some just slammed, you have to be on point, not to mention the programming, making sure the track selection goes well together. This really made greatly appreciate all the artists and producers behind the tracks, and the super talented Djs that can mix these tracks flawlessly. 
I hope it takes you down memory lane and hope you like it as much as I did mixing it.

I'm totally humbled and can't help to be excited to share my latest mix tape with you all. I was asked by [in-fekt] recordings/radio from Detroit, to make a special mix to be played and showcased during Movement, Detroit this weekend and beyond. Thank you very much Jayson. Much appreciated.

It is a different kind of techno; a more melodic kind. In the beginning of the mix, I made some sub drop sounds and some drone sounds, sliced some excerpts from real congressional hearing testimony on extraterrestrials and ufos, put in the xfiles theme track with a tail end reverb, echo & ping-pong delay, setting up the start of the 1st tune, and the rest is a nice cutting edge melodic techno ride. Allow the mix to take you on a ride. Enjoy!

Infekt Radio Live Mix Tape

Here's my latest mix: "DISCO" an extended live vinyl mix, using original Disco records from the 1970s. Tracks by some of our favorites like Donna Summer, Destination, Kikrokos, Giorgio Moroder, Earth, Wind & Fire, Azoto, Jackie Moore, Francie Joli, Don Ray, Musique, Patrick Hernandez, Thelma Houston, John Davis & The Monster Orchestra, Love & Kisses, and many others.

I've always wanted to do this, and I dedicate it to the best Disco dancers in the World, to the ones that gave their extensive priceless record collection, that inspire me in so many ways every single day, and that introduced me to Disco since I was in the womb: My Lovely Parents: Jaime & Margarita Narvaez.

This set was done the old fashion way, with two turntables, mixer and a microphone. It contains original underground Disco on vinyl, and it aired live on Thursday September 8th on Terence Toy's radio show on Deep Soul Radio, it also aired on Hollywood After-Hours Radio Show hosted by Jaime Narvaez. 

(Note: Mixing original Disco records on turntables that were produced with real instruments and musicians, is totally different than mixing tracks that were not. Therefore, the actual mixes have to be just a tad quicker)
