Thank you for checking our my composer reel.  Here are samples of my writing - all done out of my studio.  Some tracks were cut for specific scenes, and others were written as stand alone.  Music can make or break a film, and I can write and score in any style, and consider directors to be my partners in making a good film amazing with well-written and produced soundtrack.

Jaime Howard Hazan, Composer Reel

I am a native New Yorker who first played the piano at age 5 along with a Barry Manillow LP and consider Barry the “guy that taught me to play” but embraces artists like Billy Joel, Elton John & composers David Foster, John Williams & James Horner who have been most influential in my musical pursuits.

I am working on my Master Certificate in Orchestration for Film and Television at BerkleeMusic.com under Brad Hatfield, Ben Newhouse and Peter Bell. I have as BS in Corporate Communication from Ithaca College, a Certification from New York University in Multimedia Production and have taken over 10 non-metriculated classes at the Internal Center of Photography in NYC.

After suffering the side effects of being a first responder during the attacks of 9/11 on the World Trade Center, I was forced to table photography and all elements of my former professional career in order to take care of my health which originally lead me to studying and performing music. Happy accidents. I also teach and coach privately in his home recording studio or on-site for musical improvisors.

The Magnet Theater is my former Tuesday night hot spot for accompanying Musical Improv troupes as a part of the Musical Megawatt team playing piano and electric bass. Other Venues in NYC: UCB, Chicago City Limits, Comedy Sportz, The Castillo Theater All Stars Project, and The People’s Improv Theater. This past summer, (2012) he made his first network television appearance playing the piano on BRAVO’s Love Broker, as a “client” of the matchmaker, produced by Intuitive Entertainment.

QUIRKS
I will buy the same song on itunes performed by 10 different people and analyze their arrangements and interpretations. I love to splice and dice them. Then I re-do them! I will analyze the most minor detail of a recording and obsessively.
