After so many years I finally got my feet on the cold sand of playa and ran to this bus I’ve been hearing about for so long. My first night and my first show. Never to be forgotten. My expectations ended up being meaningless because I was living the unimaginable. This special moment deserved my very best, so a set full of my own unreleased originals is what I played! and off to what will always be remembered as one of the most incredible experiences of my life: My first burn! Thank you Robot Heart for the opportunity, the love and the support. Hope you enjoy!

A crystal like cluster of Lighthouses ranging from 6 to 60 foot tall and some leaning as much as 20 degrees. Inspired by the juxtaposition of creating a destination of fun and shelter by something that is meant to warn you of danger. This adult jungle gym aims to become a destination where participants come to seek shelter, play, meetup with friends and navigate the inland sea that is the Playa. At night the Lighthouses will truly come alive with fire, light, and a few other surprises.

Hailing from a long line of talented Dutch producers, Alex O’Rion is one of the  brightest stars to recently emerge on Hernan Cattaneo’s SUDBEAT label. 

He started to experiment with music at 14 year old and was inspired by the likes of Sasha, Nick Warren and John Digweed. Although his first appearance was in the trance scene, Alex soon found out that deep progressive music was his passion.

The switch to progressive house was a massive decision and a very successful one. Alex has released over 150 tracks on beatport and has the ongoing support of many big names like Hernán Cattáneo, Nick Warren, Guy J, Cid Inc, Eelke Kleijn, Guy Mantzur, Quivver amongst others.

After his debut EP on Hernan Cattaneo’s Sudbeat in 2018 things started looking really bright for the Dutchman. Later that year he delivered two more EP's for Sudbeat. Every track of those releases made it into the beatport top 100 best selling tracks with no less than 3 tracks in the top 10. 

In 2019 he signed his first EP on Nick Warren's beloved HOPE recordings. 'Timeless' instantly landed in beatport's top 10 and got supported by the biggest names out there. Alex had no intentions of slowing down and released his music on the highly respected REPLUG label hosted by Dan Orsen and Cid Inc. At the end of 2019 he will make his debut on Movement Recordings and will be represented worldwide by Movement Bookings as well.

This year saw Alex also notching up live appearances as a dj. He played on Sudbeat’s Showcase in Amsterdam’s Westergasfabriek and will also perform during ADE, plus notable appearances at Nature One Festival in Germany, Ministry Of Sound in London and Es Paradis in Ibiza.

A pioneer of modern electronic music, Alfonso Muchacho sets the new standard for both technical ability and dance floor control. Residing in London, UK, he has become one of the most sought after DJs in Europe playing at nightclubs and festivals across the continent. His productions fill the sets of some of the biggest names in the scene and he is as in demand in the studio as he is on the dance floor. His ridiculous work ethic and unique larger-than-life personality means that his rise shows no sign of stopping.

Anyone into the dark and dirty side of progressive house and techno knows the name Rick Pier O’neil (aka RPO). 

Rick Pier O’Neil has a 30 year history in the music scene. He DJ’ed his first club in his native France at the age of 14. He created his first studio at 16, and immediately began a hugely productive career in music production, remixing and mastering.  He has worked for labels such as Sony Music, Polygram, Universal and Motown, and has remixed for artists such as Kool and the Gang, Stevie Wonder, Donna Summer, Lenny Kravitz, Ultra Nate, Cee Penniston amongst others! 

Eventually, whilst relocating to Barcelona, and subsequently to Mexico, Rick Pier O’Neil started his own music label. Soon, his tracks from RPO Records and GARBAGE Records were supported by the likes of Carl Cox, Anthony Pappa, Danny Tenaglia, John Digweed, and Steve Lawler. Amazingly, over the years, he has produced and created over 500 titles!

Originally a child of soul music and techno, RPO has now settled into his signature dark progressive sound. We are beyond honoured that this internationally acclaimed DJ/producer accepted our invitation for a guest mix. Turn this one up to 11!

Lucas Khabie alias "Kabi (AR)" es un DJ y productor nacido en Buenos Aires, Argentina. Comenzó sus estudios a sus 10 años, tocando la guitarra, y más tarde continuó con instrumentos de percusión, focalizándose en el sistema de improvisación y composición con señas creado por La Bomba de Tiempo, y la percusión corporal bajo la dirección de Santiago Ablin (El choque urbano).
Paralelamente, se introdujo en el mundo de la música electrónica escuchando a DJ's como Hernán Cattaneo, Guy J, Nick Warren y otros tantos. Bajo esta influencia, empezó a desempeñarse como DJ y unos meses más tarde como productor, enfocándose en el sonido Progressive House y sus variantes.
Al día de hoy, a sus 21 años, cuenta con producciones originales lanzadas en sellos como Soundteller Records, y releases programados para los próximos meses en labels como Clubsonica Records, Freegrant Music, Balkan Connection y Droid9.
Sus tracks cuentan con el support de DJs internacionales referentes del género como Nick Varon y Hernán Cattaneo, quién pinchó una de sus producciones en el episodio 458 de Resident.
Como DJ, sus sets buscan expresar un relato que muchas veces involucra diversos géneros desde el Deep House, Progressive hasta el Techno. Siempre enfocado en lineas melódicas interesantes y profundas combinadas con movedizos grooves.
