I seriously love this pitched up acid techno style!

News has emerged in the past 24 hours or so of the passing of Japanese hardcore producer Ryo Kawashima aka Buzzmasta who ran the label Full Circle Recordings but also contributed to numerous overseas releases from Hardcore Underground, Electronica Exposed and Warped Science.

When I first came into contact with the Japanese hardcore scene about 10 years ago, Buzzmasta quickly became one of my favourites with his tracks on the Ravin Beatz Japan label and this was further cemented with the release of his solo album "Rising + Flying" a few years later. Sadly I only got to meet him in person two or three times but we spoke fairly frequently on MSN Messenger and I enjoyed his good sense of humour as the both of us tried to overcome the language barrier using silly emoticons.

I would like to share a remix that Buzzmasta did of my track "Not Over" for his compilation "Hardcore Baby's Revenge" from 2008. The full unmixed version was sadly never released and I only have a 192kbps MP3 of it, but it's a great rework nonetheless.

RIP Buzz-san, my condolences are with your brother DJ Yousuke and the rest of your family.

Voted 9972nd best DJ in the world in DJ Mag a few years back. Screendoor Randyman. Totally impervious to Mandelson. Familiar with the Mexican sacatripe. I did that Cillit Bang remix which no one intends to let me forget any time soon.
