This song was written about Hackney Marshes car boot sale now long departed. I can never decide whether it was the happiest of saddest place in the world. I now know it was both. This Sunday morning vibe has now moved to Vauxhall and The New Covent Garden market .

A song recorded between Hackney & the Isle of Wight . The track is hugely adventurous bearing in mind it was recorded on a Tascam 8 track cassette recorder. It features drum legend Rupert Brown and bass player Mike battiscombe and the remaining dozen layered vocals, guitars, pianos, harmonicas are myself. using the Lord's words in vain I have extensively used a LP of Billy Graham I believe in the 4th dimension

Recorded in Hackney & the Isle of Wight . Featuring drum legend Rupert Brown & Sim Jones on medieval fiddle. I managed to get Rupert to lay down two tracks for me and then found myself writing 2 additional tracks based on the drum parts as they were so good. This song is then a neat dovetail to Crying Shame and has the same groove but an entirely different vibe !

Hi I'm Jake a musician, composer/songwriter, performer and teacher and this is aselection of my own songs . It's quite a crazy mix of songs I've written and recorded over the last 20 years ! Yikes ! After many years tied up with neccesaries of family I'm revisiting much of this and have been writing and recording alot again recently. I've made two Cd's /LP's whatever you want to call them 'Dead Man's Trousers' and 'Major Chicken' I'm currently working on a third 'Lucky Spoon' so hold the fireworks till then.
