Sonar 2017 was immense. In its 24th year and the music festival still remains the most respected worldwide for electronic and advanced music. I represented Radar Radio and had 1-2-1 chats with a few artists that performed.

Benji B spoke about the makings of legendary night Deviation and Gilles Peterson’s record collection; before Fat Freddy’s Drop took the main stage we discussed the New Zealand music scene and how online platforms are helping local artists break out; and lastly the boys from Soulection told me about their journey starting out doing student radio in LA to amassing a following of millions and hosting on Beats 1.
