Started off as an acoustic song and as usual I got carried away. I would re-do the solo, but I started in a stupid tuning and my good electrics have locking nuts on them. Some other time perhaps.

So, die-hard CFH fans may recognise the lyrics here. We never really released that song, so I've repurposed the lyrics here. Myles, Al, if I ever make money from it, I'll be sure to buy you as many beers as possible. Still, I wrote them. New fans, have some bouncy alternative rock and a thinly veiled message about being cool.

Kiss Away

A little less happy with this one. It'll need some sharpening up before the official "release". Started off as an acoustic number, but I got a bit carried away with the parts. That Elec. Gtr. tone is gorgeous though, isn't it? It's probably going to be the last-but-two track of the project. I think that's where it fits best.

Lyrically, it's okay. I'm satisfied with all but the last line of the second verse. As always, let me know your thoughts. Peace.

Palette

A bit more punk-rock this time. Kept the guitars fizzy, but maybe they need dialing back a touch. Few duff notes, but this is hardly EMI. Overall mix is alright. Gregorian chant may be a bit too far...

The Cape

I fancied another bluesy one, so here it is. The more insightful of you will spot the correlation between the location of my flat and the theme of my lyrics lately! I also promised myself that I'd only get 3 takes with the lead jam at the end. What we ended up with is 1/2 of take one and 1/2 of take two. The plan is to force more songs out as opposed to polishing them for eternity.

New Town

24 year old dude from the cool half of the UK. Played in a number of bands in various styles, trying to find my own balance between them all now. Currently band-less, so taking the opportunity to write what I want to write - enjoying it too!
