'Medicine' is my first song out in six years. After a break, I slowly started working on music again, learning more about songwriting and recording. This song is about the feelings that you get late at night, when you miss someone. I can't believe it's been two years and the song has made it this far. 'Never Living Without You' is an upbeat, tongue & cheek, pop-rock song that puts a fun twist on the idea of 'love at first sight'. I wrote this song earlier this year, challenging myself to finish all the writing and recording in three days over a long weekend. Cutting myself off from 'over-editing' the lyrics helped me commit to some of my now favourite lines like 'UNO on the stairs' and 'Like kiss on a bike'. Never Living Without You

'Get Deeper' is a dark synth/funk track about 'deep and meaningful' conversations. Those times when you stay up late with someone and share thoughts about life... even if that's not what it seems to be about at first!

I wrote this song on my birthday a few years ago while staying at a cabin in the woods. I came up with the title while making dinner the night before and in the morning decided to try and write something. This track is what I came up with and recorded when I got home. I had lots of fun playing with the funk/synth sound I ended up with and thought it worked well with the fun, suggestive lyrics. Don’t just get down, ‘Get Deeper’!

Get Deeper

'Our Turn' is song I wrote about living in the system for the first time and how confronting it can be. Having to get a job and make money, getting told what to do and how to do it, not knowing if things will work out for you. It can be overwhelming and sometimes you just want to break out make your own decisions without listening to everyone around you.

Starting out as a straight guitar rock track, I didn't see what 'Our Turn' could become until Benedict Roff-Marsh worked his magic, adding new drum sounds and synth ideas to bring out the elements of Goth Rock and Post-Punk living inside the track.

Our Turn

After six years away from releasing music, I am so proud and excited to be back with my debut album, 'Falling Down In Love'!

'Falling Down In Love' is made up of songs written over the last four years but weren't intended to be part of a project.

It wasn't until my friend and the album's producer, Benedict Roff-Marsh picked these songs out of almost a hundred demos and noticed how they all sing about love from different angles. Then when we pulled all the songs together, they then created an image of someone who wrestles but at the same time relishes in the struggles of love.

The songs on the album talk about the love of music, the love of someone close to you, the love of someone far, the love of someone who comes back around when you least expect, the love of yourself and the love of life. All things that are a deep part of the human experience.

We chose the title 'Falling Down In Love' because it suggested that life is not just about giving into the happy moments, but giving into the sad moments as well, and finding joy in experiencing love and all that comes with it.
