Does not the mirror lie,
when we mask our 
hate and prejudice,
hiding all that is 
ugly within us,
behind made up smiles,
and deceiving eyes,
spouting false pretense....
in the presence
of those we despise.

Not calling the kettle black,
per-say, just serving 
others elsewhere.

Should we not win Oscars
for our roles in the daily
 productions of pride 
and prejudice among men

Would not any mirror be frosted,
by ones cold shoulder
and icy glares, that often
chill the backbones of those
who feel they're not welcome.

perhaps each time we 
scowl at another
the next mirror we use 
should just shatter'
 like the feelings of 
that person we disdained.

Perhaps heaven has a door
of mirrors in which
we will see our 
truest reflection
at long last revealed,
upon arrival and then we 
will either wind up facing 
a hell of our own making,
or gain entry on the true beauty
that we captured there
and also left reflected
in so many souls on earth.
