Jake Tomas & Paul HG join forces on powerful new single React, with Remixes by Lee Jeffrey & Piem making this another fine offering from Griffintown.
React is a rock solid tech cut that manages to be bulky and physical but also have real soul. The drums will rattle walls and the hi hats are razor sharp, but well placed female coos bring that human warmth. It's sure to destroy the club, especially when the brighter synths come in. React (Lee Jeffrey Remix) goes a little more deep, with warm bass but also plenty of punchy kick drums powering onwards. Lastly, React (Piem Remix) is a muscular tech tune from the Spanish titan. It's packed with heat and dance effort dynamics and rounds out a killer package.
These are three varied and vital tunes from the ever excellent Griffintown.

Jake Tomas & Paul HG come together for a razor sharp new house cut on the Griffintown Records label. Moxy Muzik label head Darius Syrossian steps up with a vital remix to seal the deal too. 

Move With You is built on well designed and infectious drums that are precise and effective. The bass swings low, the hi hats cut up the groove, and the slinky synths bring dynamic. Add in a great vocal and you have a sure fire, dance floor bomb. Move With You (Darius Syrossian Remix) then gets more lively, with tripped out melodies adding colour and playfulness to the nonsense beats. 

This is another winner from these underground mainstays.

Whoyostro introduces a new collab from Jake Tomas and Paul HG with ‘Spark’, a deep and stripped back tech cut built for the late night. The original mix hits from the jump with a driving low end, tight percussion, funky synth chops and a catchy vocal hook that loops just right. It has all the ingredients of a proper basement workout.

The release also lands with two sharp remixes, both offering something fresh for selectors.

Lauren Steel brings her signature minimal meets deep tech sound. She lifts the track into club ready territory with punchy drums, rolling grooves, an elastic bassline and airy synths that keep things light but effective. Her version feels primed for early peak time sets with just the right amount of swing.

Lee Jeffrey UK takes it in a heavier direction. His remix ups the drive with chunky low end pressure and a bold groove that hints at UK garage without going full nostalgia. It is darker, tighter and built to move a floor without shouting for attention. DJs chasing that underground thump will find plenty to love here.

From the more hypnotic textures of the original to the high energy push of the remixes, ‘Spark’ delivers across the board. It is a tight three track drop made for DJs who value groove, clarity and late night momentum.

Over the recent years, Jake has sculpted his sound across a wide variety of house genres but settled in nicely with his take on Deep/Minimal House and has been receiving positive support and amazing feedback from the likes of; Darius Syrossian, Jamie Jones, Danny Howard, Steve Lawler for his tracks in Deep/Minimal, incorporating catchy vocals and groovy melody’s layered over tight snappy drums.

Jake Tomas  has gone from strength to strength securing releases on Kittball Records, Grifintown Records, Blackboard and 1980 Recordings and has also secured DJ Gigs in the UK at Mint Warehouse & DEJA VU in Hull along with Ibiza.

Jake has performed guest mixes for Whistle Louder, In the Know Records and have also featured on Spotlight mixes for Data Transmission, Electronic groove and Club Tropico.

Jake has also appeared on the popular Irish Dance radio station RTE Pulse along with Dash Radio presented by Gary Jamze as well as BBC Radio 1 & BBC Introducing too!
