Ambient: Sector, Sunrizer, Tera, AU:Space at Audiobus2 Preset

This is my first official track in the Apptronica genre (i.e., music created using iOS touch screen apps). It was created using an app called BeatHawk. It is dedicated to iOS musician, synth programmer, and prolific video blogger, jakoB haQ, who has inspired me to try my hand -- er, fingers -- at this emerging musical form.

[Note: "El Atacante" means "the attacker" in Spanish, and thus the title is a twist on JakoB's video tutorial series called the haQ attaQ.]

El Ataqante

This track combines elements from jabob haQ, myself, and William Shakespeare. I took jaboB haQ's full track "Bell Borders [Borderlands Granular]" and composed and overdubbed multiple new parts, using Magellan, BeatHawk, mobile GarageBand, and an iRig to record the guitar. Everything was recorded live in 1-2 takes. The spoken phases samples come from Puck in A Midsummer Night's Dream.

Alright this is going to be on one of the upcoming Elfpants EPs to be released in 2016.  I let DJ Bugbear cut loose a bit and as always he came up with some crazy beatz.

Dedicated to a pretty busy guy in the iOS music space, Jakob Haq, who does amazing work for the soundtestroom, and has been spotted on promotional stuff for Propellerhead and so forth. He is also, like myself a big fan of the app Figure, and so what's more to say.
