He's been on the underground scene for years, dj'ing and producing his homemade blend of multi genre bass infused electronic music. Known also for his unique microphone skills, Chimpo's delivery style and wit is something to behold. These four tracks showcase all of what chimpo has to offer. A release that will stand out for being different and yet totally devastating on the dance floor. The vinyl release contains a huge remix of the title track, "Frontline", by Calibre that utilises Fox's vocal and flips the sound back to the days of jungle techno. Wilkinson has recently announced the release of his eagerly anticipated debut album Lazers Not Included on 21st October 2013 via RAM records. Wilkinson, has been on unstoppable form since the huge Radio 1 playlisted ‘Need To Know’ and most recent single ‘Heartbeat’ featuring Arlissa and P Money, which firmly established him as one of the UK’s hottest producers and DJs. New single ‘Afterglow’, with vocals by Becky Hill, premiered last night at Zane Lowe’s Hottest Record In The World and a snippet can be heard HERE.

Lazers Not Included will be sure to stamp Wilkinson’s name in the faces of a worldwide audience. “We’ll See” is a collab with Bristol-based companion, Break.  The pair have joined forces again after the success of their last collaboration, “Murmur”. The result is simply stunning and the duo deliver a neck-snapping monster of epic proportions. Despite the mysterious track name, it’s a devilishly lethal concoction; combining the immense talents of two of the scene’s most respected producers. 

Carrying equally destructive prowess, DLR continues on a solo tip into the B-side with “Tugboat”. The use of space in this hard stepper provides the perfect antidote to its predecessor’s intensity. The track is introduced with haunting atmospherics and ultra-tight drums. An enchanted bass is released gradually throughout the track, mischievously swinging amongst the elements; injecting a real technical funk into the track in a distinctive DLR style! 

Finally we leave you with the experimental musicality and funk of “Delusion”, a late but freshly made addition to this release as an exclusive digital track.
Having received exclusive Radio 1 airtime debuts from DJ Friction, it’s another buy-on-sight release featuring two of the most consistently on-point producers this scene has to offer.

The wait is over! Platinum Breakz 4 is here. Perhaps one of the most revered album series in drum & bass is back with a vengeance, and some are saying it maybe the best yet. This release is one of two samplers preceding the album.

First up we have cohorts DLR & Script with the Headz vocalist of choice Martyna Baker whom you may be familiar from her work with Goldie and Lenzman. 
The track opens as a gliding, subconscious led number that is wrapped in Martyna's velvet vocal. As the track moves towards its drop it becomes clear the vocal is a paranoid and claustrophobic affair and it reflects the instrumental very well in that the beautiful atmos draped intro becomes a mid-range bass led growler....

Andy C Live At Ultra Festival Miami 2014

On Friday 6th June, the Dutch drum & bass producer, Lenzman, will toast the release of his Looking At The Stars album live in Room One. Released on Goldie’s inimitable Metalheadz label the fifteen track long player explores the Amsterdam based maestro’s brew of overtly musical, soulful blend of d&b. Saying “I wanted this album to be personal more than anything,” Lenzman’s certainly created a balanced album that fully reflects the spectrum of human emotion, [as the press release puts it] “from introspection to confidence and doubt”.

We’ll be catching up with Lenzman in depth and proper next week, but for now he’s pre-empted the interview, his album and the launch party by bestowing on us a 33 minute mix that includes and highlights the potency of a few upcoming cuts from Looking At The Stars…
