Hey friends! It's been a while, but for good reasons! One of them was that my next undertaking was the UK-mix(es). And to be honest the amount of UK-labels, -artists and -tracks is overwhelming! So I figured I just had to pick a starting point and go from there. And what better place to start than TIP Records? Its a label very dear to me, and they released a lot of tracks way ahead of their time. 

This mix contains only tracks with UK artists, and all tracks released on TIP Records. Enjoy the ride :)

Morenxxx is a Brooklyn based interdisciplinary artist engaged in hybrid practice. Their sets lie at the crossroads of sound performance and storytelling. Utilizing and prioritizing Caribbean sound, and electronic music as a means to elaborate the dialectic. For Cookie Series #037, Morenxxx operates the hiss of machetes slicing, the sound of a preacher screaming over a megaphone a few blocks away, and the reverb of a steel drum in a cavern that embodies the chaos of our world today.

COOKIE SERIES #037: MORENXXX

We are back with the twenty-eight BunkerBauer Podcast and this time we have one of our newest members behind the decks - @horns-cph. 
HORNS has only been playing for a few years, but they have already made a name for themselves in Copenhagen with their sets and mixes. HORNS is a resident at Vortex at Copenhagen's Ved Siden Af and played at Tbilisi's Cafe Gallery earlier this year.

HORNS writes about the mix:

“ We sometimes find ourselves stranded in our mind, that glass box always at risk of turning opaque to itself, leaving us exposed to a mental blackout. And the oneiric is a Möbius strip that we can only traverse by surrendering. 
The starting point of this mix was recurring nightmares I've had for the last 6 years re-experiencing trauma from my past. The exact nature of this trauma is not the focus, but instead how we move through it. At this moment we are all caught in a recurring daily nightmare with no end in sight. So this mix is for anyone that has ever been woken up by their own racing heart, their teeth grinding tight before daylight – it is for everyone that needs solace and rest. 
The title of the mix NIGHT WILL CARRY US THROUGH THE DARKNESS LIKE A DREAM is an insistence on the separation of night and darkness, to insist that the rave is a way of making the night habitable anew, insisting that night holds within it a light that shines through and that we again and again evacuate ourselves through the egress of each other's gleaming pupils. 
Pain has a grammar of its own all too easy to follow, but sorrow and healing spring forth in ever new places and all we can do is trace their paths in the hope of redrawing an inner atlas. This mix is about the volatility of the mind, but also its permeability and most importantly it is about the line of grace between the two – I'm A Nightmare Walking This Is My Dream.”
