''After we met at a Bicep show in Paradiso, Amsterdam and got to know each other more, we noticed our taste was slowly moving closer to each other. We exchanged two unfinished tracks, and the rest was history. The EP came about faster than anything we've ever done; you can hear that. We didn't overthink it but had fun which shone through on the tracks. For us, that has been a big lesson. Since its inception in 2020, B.A.D. have established themselves as a crucial and respected global platform with community as its core focus. Through the newly established B.A.D. label, their unwavering vision continues; to highlight the boundless range of Black creativity
and give power back to the community, relentlessly working towards Black liberation. 'Synergy' builds upon B.A.D.s mission and presents an introduction to the platform's exciting sonic universe.

One year later, the duo of Qant & Kaval forms again for yet another banging 4-tracker split EP. The first tune "Blackest Night" blends 2 step and breakbeats in a menacing sonic background. “Mouse Hole” and “Maracana” are more on the hard percs and electro side, bringing the release back towards a more club-oriented aesthetic. The EP closes on "Aneto", another 2 step roller that morphs into a dub 4x4 stepper, adding a Soundsystem dimension to the project.

London-based producer @andydufraine kicks off 2024 on Scuffed Recordings with three new stomping hybrid electro tracks on his Uber XL EP.

Continuing the sounds Dufraine has explored on previous solo efforts for labels like APE-X and Fantastic Voyage, and his Pleasure Corp project alongside Shawn Cartier, the Uber XL EP features three darker, harder-edged tracks taking in influences from artists like Miss Kittin and The Hacker alongside sounds inspired by UK bass, dubstep, and techno.

Amity’s next outing is keeping it a family affair, with co-honcho Mulholland entering the fray. This follows a breathtaking EP from Elpac & Bristol royalty, Grove. Not to mention ‘that’ V/A last year, containing some of the best about (Cassius Select, Saskia & Pluralist, to name a few), the label is quickly establishing itself at the heart of a burgeoning underground scene.

Mulholland’s catalogue has flourished too, with stand out releases on imprints like Martyn’s 3024, CloudCore, Banoffee Pies & Woozy. This record however, feels like a significant landmark and perhaps his best work to date, all whilst being on home turf just makes it feel even more right. There’s a definite theme with serious sub-pressure laced through unique bass lines, shifting each track into a certified dance floor weapon. The EP doesn’t shy away from interesting perc work & clever sampling either, making it an extremely well-rounded release and another big step for Mulholland and Amity.
