Jalen Pierce. Also known as “NSE JP” has been a monument in Downriver music for the last decade. As a highschool student Jalen performed in clubs and bars under the “Neva Starving Empire”. JP learned how to navigate stages, and people, ultimately carving out the artist we see today. 

JP’s musical career has been a marathon. From recording on mics on his bedroom, to features & producers like Calacoe , Big Gov , Imashiine , & Eli Myles. He’s had a stellar solo career with packages like, Slum Village, Visger Road, and Swerve Life. JP was the first artist in the Downriver bubble who made an appearance on media giant World Star Hip Hip. 

Jalen represents River Rouge all the way to the bone. His small town roots never stopped his thirst for the research and information he’s soaked into his game over the years. Pierce’s musical style combines swift rap flows, glossy R&B verses, and an original selection of beats that continues to leave listeners stunned. 

In 2020 JP is still making music and spreading his gospel. His long awaited project “ Run It Back “ will be released July 24th , 2020 . Supporters from all over the world have already been geeking up to hit singles “Rouge After Dark” and “Bad News” produced by River Rouge’s own ninja producer Ameer Rasheed.
