Now COEO - after a big hit on the last Sccucci Manucci Sampler (they reached No.1 on the Juno House Charts) this is their own debut on Gomma sub label Toy Tonics. Their house is full of LOVE.

COEO - Say You Do

The Munich based duo Coeo are the stars of our fourteenth release. Florian Vietz and Andreas Hopfl have presented us with three original tracks with nice and special character. Closer EP is definitely a landmark release for us at Lagaffe Tales which challenges us to follow up with this new standard in the following future. The title track Closer is the star of the release. What stands out if the great percussion work and hauntingly beautiful vocal sample, whispering into our ears. As if the original track was not enough, we were lucky to get one of our biggest influences; Lay-Far to remix the track. The remix takes the percussion work to the next level and still staying true to the original mix. Lay-Far does not disappoint and makes sure that we connect memories we hold dear to the track. Mind Games is a beautiful piece with a tight baseline and enchanting piano atmosphere.  The duo bring to the table another beautiful piano sampling piece in the third track Timid Dancer. The whole EP has encouraged us to work harder and to grow in the right direction as a label.

Jamal Moulay (Rotterdam Netherlands) has involved himself with electronic music and production from an early age. Evolving through galactic sounds and effects, his creations combine an array of aurally enticing synths. This lead to him releasing on labels such as ‘Affin’ and ‘Pro-tez’.
Jamal is taking his sounds on the road performing live and dj-sets. The rhythmic 4/4 foundation, synonymous with house & techno, provides the structure to his compositions allowing him to push deeper with every other element.
