Royal!Papyrus is an Undertale AU by J-Bug where Papyrus joins the Royal Guards!  Despite Papyrus have some issues with the other guards causing Papyrus to realize some of his weaknesses... Undyne found Papyrus as a powerful fighter and puzzle master!

(Before you say anything, yes, I know of the other spamton au track named Dead Ringer but I genuinely had no idea that the joke was already done until just now.)

Hi, for a lot of people that haven't been posted about my activity this is probably the first bit of UT/DR content I've made in a good year or so. I don't normally follow trends like these but inspiration struck me while I was playing chapter 2 again and I couldn't sleep until I finally finished this track. That being said, initially I wasn't sure how to approach this style of arrangement so I spent some time studying AU tracks, mostly works from the following talented individuals:

-Lucas (@lucaspucasmusic)
-Michael Frank (@michaelfrankmusic)

In the end, it was really fun adapting all the melodies to fit the tension of the fight in game. Hopefully I was able to accomplish that. Also neat little fact: I haven't downloaded Undertale or the soundtrack from Bandcamp on my new computer yet so the Power of Neo file I sampled here was from a Rivals of Aether workshop asset.

It's been a hot minute, hasn't it?

... Deltarune's still relevant, right? Yeah. Yeah, it's still relevant. 

Regardless of its current relevancy, I had this remix in mind for a long while ever since the Spamton Sweepstakes took place (and ever since Spamton got his own plush toy. Mainly because the toy had voice samples. Those were very useful here). This was definitely my most complex music project yet, but it was a lot of fun to undertake, and I'm quite happy with the result. I hope you guys are happy with it too.

Q. What program do you use to make your songs?
A. Ableton.

Q. What's your favorite song?
A. In general, I prefer listening to emotional tracks. Corridors of Time from the Chrono Trigger soundtrack comes to mind, I can't get enough of that ostinato in the beginning haha. ASGORE from Undertale is another personal favorite of mine and something I look back on in terms of arrangement and intensity. As for non-vgm pieces, Porter Robinson's entire discography hits all the marks for me. 

Q. Do you take requests?
A. I'll take a peek at comments from time to time for inspiration.
