This is my absolute favorite piece of Deltarune Secret Boss fan content, by far. This is such an amazing composition, in the way it handles melodies, basslines, transitions, and the original has instrumentation that I can only HOPE to achieve with practice- so I absolutely had to cover this. The original didn't get nearly as much attention as it should have. So! Here you go!

Also, the melody edit at around 1:00 is intentional. The new version is a motif from my game, Hiraeth- shoutout to whoever can remember the track it was from. I kept hearing it every time I listen to the original, so I figured I'd stick it in there. I can fix it if anyone particularly hates it though.

Here it is! A metal cover of one of your favourite songs from Deltarune: Chapter Rewritten, Battle Against The World! I truly put my heart and soul into this song. From thrashing guitars to symphonic strings, and even a little inspiration from nu metal, this cover has it all! Unlike most of my remixes, the first time I listened to the original song, my reaction wasn't "This is so cool!" "I need to make a cover!" (although I think that "Battle Against the World" is a fantastic song). No, my initial reaction was, "Holy moly, this is gonna test my abilities." BATW is an incredibly complicated song with many intricate parts, not all of which I could fit into this song without it sounding like noise. I've spent what feels like forever fine-tuning this cover. Overall, I'm more than happy with the final product and hope that you all enjoy listening to it as much as I enjoyed making it! In hindsight the game itself wasn't all that good (the quick time sections were really annoying when all I wanted to do was fight giant monsters...) but the music cemented itself in my head. There are a LOT of underrated gems from the soundtrack but I wanted to pay tribute to my favorite one, sorry if this seems out of left field haha

Q. What program do you use to make your songs?
A. Ableton.

Q. What's your favorite song?
A. In general, I prefer listening to emotional tracks. Corridors of Time from the Chrono Trigger soundtrack comes to mind, I can't get enough of that ostinato in the beginning haha. ASGORE from Undertale is another personal favorite of mine and something I look back on in terms of arrangement and intensity. As for non-vgm pieces, Porter Robinson's entire discography hits all the marks for me.
