When does profit turn into greed? 
For misanthrop the answer to this question is rooted in the influence that money can have and it is also the essential inspiration for his long-overdue solo EP entitled GREED OF GAIN. 

And we know you all have been waiting for this! This 4-track EP will be released on Misanthrop’s joint label Neosignal Recordings and is packed with a mixture of everything you could sonically ever ask for. 
The production throughout the whole release is second to none and proves why Misanthrop is one of the most pioneering and distinct producers out there. As usual we leave it to the listeners to judge each track for themselves.

The 2 x 12” vinyl EP release will be strictly limited to 500 pieces and comes with its own handcrafted

'Rat Pack' immediately sets the vibe with satisfying plucked keys atop pattering drums and ominous atmosphere. Mindscape doesn't wait for listeners to get comfortable before unleashing two hulking bassline punches on the downbeat, setting the stage for the remainder of the tune. The intro draws to a close, and equally distorted bassline counterparts come into focus. 'Rat Pack' gets serious as aggressive drums converge with riotous vocal snippets to create a potently anarchic concoction. Melodic components descend downward, with a sense of hopelessness. A descent into madness, no doubt.

What happens when you gather nine of the best music producers around, give them one hour each to work on a single collaborative track, and throw wildcard production challenges at them all while filming each session so it can be posted to YouTube? Collab Alliance happens. Introducing a brand new music production series from Impossible Records. Dubbed ‘Collab Alliance,’ this new spin on production tutorials brings together the likes of Mr. Bill, KJ Sawka, Julian Gray, John Miller, Slynk, SeamlessR, Multiplier and Tom Cosm to challenge them to create a track together under wild circumstances while also giving valuable insight into music production.
For Collab Alliance, production turns are selected randomly via a name generator, including a ‘Wildcard Randomizer’ that adds four challenges -made up by fans - per turn that must be incorporated during each players one-hour session. Some ‘Wildcards’ were practical while others ridiculous, add- ing a humorous spin to each production session. Once each producers turn is up they then post up their live production session on YouTube for viewers to enjoy and learn from.
Season One’s end result is a multi-genre track that falls along the lines of a funky glitchy drum and bass banger. Styles and genres collide in an experimental exploration of sound molded by some of the most talented producers around. To top it all off and add another layer of collabora- tion, Collab Alliance held a cover art contest and was won by illustrator Asa Akisaki.

After a 3 month break Beat Assassins are back, all guns blazing. 
Procrasti-Nation sees Beat Assassins take a step back from the cheeky jump-up sound and move into the territory of a tearing rock-esque, full vocal drum & bass assault, with a slight political edge. When Eli pitched up to the studio to sing this track she was an angry woman with a strong message. The lyrics totally reflect her mood with the world right now dealing with the nonsensical way humanity treats it's fellow man & woman. Essentially Procrasti-Nation is a song with a powerful message more so than a club banger.

Who better to turn to than one of the hottest names right now in drum n bass "Mob Tactics" who deliver the perfect remix. The opening bars alone immediately bring the drama as the intro builds spectacularly to a drop that rolls out the catchiest of leads and filthy bass rolls.
