it didn't make it to an icebreaker album but was always good rocking fun and perfect for Friday 13th.
I still think this might be my favorite Paul White Guitar solo, it actually sounds like the Undead.

Recorded in Steve's basement in Frankfurt during the Icebreakers 2010 December tour of Germany (where we actually got snowed in and nearly missed Xmas).
A great fun number about Rockabilly hair fetish behavior , written by our friends Jazz Coffee Spooner and Richard (who kindly lent us his double Bass for the tour).
3 mics all acoustic in the basement with acoustic instruments , lots of apple wine and friends.
If you listen carefully you can here Marc Vierheller playing Trent reznors Tambourine and Elliot Filby shaking his lemon too.

errr this cracks me up. its a track for an x factor rip off by this guy who was a bit of a knob.
He wrote it we played it and recorded it and nothing ever became of his plan to oust mr Cowell from power.

"Stardom"

what can i say Tom Mansi is a genius!
While living above a noisy bar in Barnet Tom came into the studio during the Perils Aplenty recording sessions and instructed the rest of the band to play some kind of jazz poetry feel nonsense.
the rest is history .
If you are from Barnet you may well recognize a lot of whats going on in this strange tom waits style improvised jazz monologue. In fact it might even be about you.

here is a classic Tom Mansi and the Icebreakers live studio recording of Big Bad Wolf. this is the way we played it live which was a bit different to the more country brush 2 feel groove on the Love on the Rails album.
I always preferred this version, just great energy.
i think we had been on tour just before and we were on it big time!


BIG BAD WOLF (live studio take)

oh dear oh dear this is one of the funniest songs we ever played, just because it was so wacky and changes everywhere, with some totally weird pushes and time things and just mayhem , even I'm doing vocals so you know its comedy.
I remember taking a day to do 35 takes of it but this was the only time we ever played it as we never had the bottle to pull it off live , and it was too silly to get on an album.
