As the owner and operator of his own successful private practice, James Eells, M.D., Ltd., provides personalized concierge medical care to patients in the Las Vegas, Nevada, area. Prior to starting his own practice in May 2011, Dr. Eells was a member of MDVIP, a national personalized preventative health care network based in Boca Raton, Florida, from 2006 to 2011. Dr. Eells takes on a limited number of patients, which allows him to provide a higher level of care and customer service. He provides annual executive physicals for all of his patients to help detect health issues early, prevent disease, and reverse the aging process. In addition, Dr. Eells recommends alternative medicines when appropriate. He provides patients with his personal cell phone number, and he strongly encourages them to call him with after-hours emergencies.

He is an internist rather than a general practitioner, he is able to focus on a much broader range of diagnostic possibilities.  In fact, internists are often called "the doctor's doctor" because other physicians turn to them to learn more about complicated cases and to ask them to consult on problematic diagnoses.

A 1989 graduate of the University of Nevada School of Medicine, Dr. James served as a resident physician of internal medicine at the University of Nevada Medical Center in Las Vegas until 1992. In 1992, he served as an active duty physician at Nellis Air Force Base in Las Vegas. Dr. Eells also worked periodically as a physician at the University Medical Center from 1990 to 2003. From 2003 to 2006, he served as a physician with Internal Medicine Associates, also in Las Vegas.

Married for 25 years, Dr. Eells has four children. He is an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and he served a two-year mission in Chile from 1979 to 1981. Dr. Eells is fluent in Spanish. He enjoys spending time with family and friends, as well as camping and backpacking in the Sierra Nevada Mountains and vacationing at his family’s cabin in southern Utah.

He was an officer in the United States Air Force from 1992 to 1996, attaining the rank of Major.  He has been on inactive reserve status since 1996 from the military.  During his military service with the United States Air Force, he was an emergency room physician and later a staff physician.  He was classified as a Military Officer for Medical Services from 1992 to 1996.  He also served as an instructor for both Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Basic Life support during this time.

After leaving the military, he worked at University Medical Center from 1996 to 2003 as an urgent care physician and as Chief of Staff of Grove Dils Medical Center.

He provides a service called Personalized Care to his patients. This is unique in the medical field because it  allows the patient and he to get to know each other well. He accomplishes this through his thorough medical examinations and his personal vested interest in your well being. He believes that he plays an important role in his patient's health. He takes his job serious and personally.
