the knife twisted in
the ship has sailed on
it won’t come back again

before the shift
i had no reason to escape
now my only prayer
is to reincarnate

or maybe she & I
could both get hypnotized
eternal sunshine 
of the spotless mind

but the trapdoor’s shut
and the bird has flown
so carry that weight
into the great unknown

She waltzes monsoons 
down from the heavens
I dream the ancient questions 
And wake to extract 
Answers from The Abstract
Then I float in those lessons 

There’s no coming down yeah
Never turning back

Yeah I sublimate 
just like the fog 
up from the earth
then I turn a new leaf 
stir up some more 
and ghost on 
Wandering free 
On a cyclical beat 
A catcher in rye 
Thru the wrinkles in time 
so it ain’t like I’ve gone 
I’m right off the coast 
and I miss you the most
But I could not stay 
I cannot wait 
Oh wait like a dog 
In your backyard 
Ready to play 
I was ready to play 
But I will not wait
Anymore 
So I sublimate  
Just like the fog 
Up from the earth 
Turn a new leaf 
Stir up some more
