Mark is headlining at Ripsnorter THIS SATURDAY 26th MAY at Motion, Bristol! 

Mark is a true Ripper fave. He's played for Ripsnorter countless times and no other DJ gets tthe same response from the crowd or can compete with his charisma. Even Depot regulars who weren’t into techno packed The Penthouse to get a glimpse of his antics and feel the raw energy he ploughed into every single mix, throughout every performance. 

My most memorable moment was the Colinizer vs Mark EG showdown in September 2003, with 2 sets of 45 mins each and the ‘clappometer’ doing the judging. Everyone was wearing either ‘I’m avinit for Colinizer’ or ‘I’m avinit for Mark EG’ badges and EVERYONE in that room was buzzin’ off the energy the boys created.

I think this recording comes from early 2004 - Mark’s last performance at The Depot before it shut in June. He was always into pushing the underground techno sound but had to acknowledge that, especially in the South-West, hard-trance was king...so Liz and I used to give him free reign to play whatever style he wanted – and this is a typical Mark EG Ripsnorter set of the era – hard-techno going into hard-trance.
