The latest edition of our free download series welcomes Emi Galvan for his first appearance. Argentinean DJ and producer Emi Galvin has consistently defied expectations throughout his much-lauded decade-long career. Through the success of early tracks like 2016's ‘Taking Over’ and ‘Universe’, the Buenos Aires resident emerged into one of the progressive scene’s most promising talents. A rich musical background with time spent in rock bands playing guitar and singing gave Emi’s electronic compositions a measurable creative edge. This elusive sound did not go unnoticed as he quickly earned the praise of genre tastemakers Cid Inc, Eelke Kleijn, Guy J, Guy Mantzur, Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren; while landing career defining releases via Balance, Sudbeat and The Soundgarden. Also an accomplished DJ, Emi’s long undulating sets have been applauded for their impeccable track selection and exquisite programming. As one of Argentina’s most in demand DJs, Emi has travelled the world, delighting crowds in Egypt, Greece, Hungary, Malta, Netherlands, Romania, Russia, Spain and more. A recent highlight in the Argentine’s sets has been his unofficial remix of Massive Attack’s ‘Girl I Love You.’ Released in 2010 as part of the band’s ‘Heligoland’ album, the song would go on to become one of the LP’s most recognizable tracks, racking up more than ten million plays on Spotify in the process. Emi’s version has seen considerable live play in recent months, with Guy J, Guy Mantzur, Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren, Sebastien Leger and more all airing the remix across their sets. Second pre-VA compilation serving is from Milan DJ and producer Auggië. It paints an emotional portrait which lulls an ethereal stance and plays heavy on the heart. ‘Love Wait’ sings a soothing, synthesised symphony and marks the beginnings of a celestial universe; yet gilded with delicate riffs and the contrasting piano chords help bring all frequencies and feelings down to earth to forge a more personal connection with the soul. Capturing an intimate, complex and contradictory portrait of love, sung through the soft layers of affectionate elements.

Auggië - Love Wait  | Equanimity

After contributing to Diynamic’s „Four To The Floor“ series, Brazilian artist Malive returns with his first full EP on the label. Each track features different collaborators and showcases his versatility.
Title track „Reduto“ featuring Malaysian-Austrian singer Billy Otto opens up very melancholically; it’s almost like floating a few inches above a foggy lake and tapping the reflective surface in the rhythm of the piano.
„The Entry“ together with Simo Not Simon picks up the pace and shows some attitude - a Carribean vocal, bouncy bass and choppy percussive element get you in the mood to prance.
„Sophisticated“, which Malive made together with Coppola and 2Strange feels very mellow and might be best described as Brazilian Jazzatronica.
And closing off the „Reduto“ EP is „Back 2DB“, again with Simo Not Simon - an enigmatic and slightly somber Indie Dance tune with a hopeful twist.
